1. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo awfoo bialAAuqoodi ohillat lakum baheematu al-anAAami illa ma yutla AAalaykum ghayra muhillee alssaydi waantum hurumun inna Allaha yahkumu ma yureedu
5:1. O you who
believe! Fulfill the obligations. Permitted to you are the quadruped cattle
except what is mentioned to you1, provided the prohibition against
hunting is not violated while you are in the state of Ihram2.
Indeed, Allah orders what He pleases.
1. The prohibited things are mentioned in Verse 5:3.
2. I.e. while performing rites of pilgrimage, during which hunting
is prohibited.
