The Qur'aan

In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

I was born to Muslim parents. But that fact by itself did not make me a real Muslim.

As a child, I just followed what my parents told me to do or to believe. For me then whatever they said was the gospel truth!

But as I grew up, it slowly dawned on me that my parents were not my makers. They were just instruments used in my making. My Maker ought have been a Being of superhuman intelligence, Who has also made everything necessary for my sustenance for a limited period in this world.

I could get this realisation by using the intelligence my Maker had given me. But my intelligence and all the knowledge that I could acquire in this world failed to inform me about the purpose of my short life here.

Only the Qur'aan could give me that information satisfactorily. My Maker did not just leave me alone, with my intelligence and my worldly knowledge, to fend for myself to get that information. HE has given me His Book of Guidance, which tells me what that purpose is, and what I should do to attain it.

So, I spent over 20 years to study this Holy Book, word by word. I humbly present my QUR'AANIC STUDIES for my readers’ perusal. Hopefully, these may lead them to their own studies of the Divine Scripture.

Judgment Analysed

In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

Judgment on Interest Analysed

The Qur’aanic word Ar-Riba is grossly misunderstood. It is assumed to have not been defined in the Qur’aan. That is a grievously wrong assumption.

Based on that wrong assumption, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had pronounced a judgment some years back.

I have analysed that judgment in Qur’aanic light. Click here to go to that full analysis. It will give the reader the complete picture of the traditional view as detailed in the judgment and why that view is in contravention of the Qur’aanic meaning.

Sex

In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

Sex is a remarkable example of the wondrous ingenuity of divine design. No one, who deeply ponders over it, can miss the superhuman skill & wisdom that has gone into its design!

The principle purpose of this wonderful thing is of course the propagation of the species. But there is another purpose for humans, which is apparently not applicable to other creatures.

The other purpose is to put human beings to a test. It's like the test the first humans, Adam & Eve, were put to when they were placed in heaven after their creation. They were asked to enjoy everything there except for tasting fruit of a certain tree. They failed the test, became aware, for the first time, of their sexual urges, & were banished to live the hard life on this earth.

We, the progeny of those first humans, have come into being by means of that same sexual urge. And, we are being tested by our Creator, throughout our lives here, for eligibility to be restored back to heaven.

This sexual urge is one of the various means by which we are tested. Unlike in some other animals, its use is restricted within bounds of a marriage. Those who go beyond these bounds, fail the test. Sex beyond confines of a marriage tie is one of the forbidden fruits for mankind now!
